Bittersweet

Here is how my front porch looks. I'm so happy with the way the basket turned out and it was quite by accident. It started when I emptied the dead begonias out of the basket and wanted something fall-ish to put into it. I found giant pinecones in the garage that I use with greens in the winter. It was a very brown looking basket but filled a space. The next week-end I added the pumpkins/gourds and it looked 100% better. Then my mom discovered bittersweet growing in her yard so I added that and now I love it.

I enjoyed looking at flickr photos and have this one on there with the tag of bittersweet and projectplay. I'm not sure how much I'll use flickr but I enjoy knowing about it.

Creative Thoughts?

I just noticed the name of my blog is creative thoughts and I haven't given any yet. I'm too busy learning. Maybe sometime soon I'll put a picture and a few creative thoughts on here.

Another Week of Learning

Another week of learning and I'm slowly starting to get this whole thing. Last week at our parent-teacher conferences I suggested to our principal that our school set up a blog for better communication with the community. I don't know the pros and cons of this for a school district but thought it should be looked into. I'm realizing how many people use blogs that it would be a great way for our administration, board members and students to make posts and the public could comment, question or, now I learn, take a survey. Thank you Project Play for this course! What do you all think of a school with a blog? If a library can have one, can a school?

I did it! Each week seems like such a big deal. I put together my newsreader and 10 blog lists. It took some time to do. I am enjoying the learning process even though it's a challenge.

My First Blog - Ugh!

Well, here I go, not knowing what I'm doing but giving this a try. I'm finding it hard to fit this computer stuff into my life but feel like I need to keep up with the world. I'm interested in fabric, yarn, design, paper, colors which doesn't always relate to computers. Although I have found a few blogs that I'm starting to visit related to knitting and quilting.
